Akka’s platform for agentic AI systems simplifies building new classes of applications, enabled by AI – based on our experience of building distributed systems.

Efficiently building agentic systems requires new approaches to unlock the AI supported development cycle without sacrificing trust. Visualizing the inner workings of Akka’s components and data flows not only supports developers directly in their inner development loop but is critical for debugging, building trust, and ensuring the reliability of complex agentic AI systems.

Operating agentic systems with trust requires continuous observation and the ability to evaluate all interactions with AI. Much of this is accomplished by combining multiple agents, while also allowing for human inspection. 

Akka’s web console supports our customers from early stages of development through to operations and continues evaluation of application behavior. 

To meet these evolving requirements, we are seeking additional experienced developers to support our front-end development team. 

Responsibilities

• Making new user interactions come alive in the Akka console
• Working closely with the team to model data for presentation
• Designing visually appealing user interfaces
• Participate in efforts to ensure the observability and reliability of the Akka console, focusing on front-end performance and user experience in live systems

These duties may change as Akka’s offering evolves over time to best meet the needs of its clients.

Qualifications

You should be technical and team-oriented with the following qualifications and experience:

• Strong professional background in TypeScript, React, and related technologies
• Experience with Next.js, Tanstack and Vite is a big plus 
• Experience with Tailwind, MaterialUI, or other popular CSS frameworks is beneficial
• Programming skills in Java, Scala, or Go are a big plus as our stack builds on those
• Adapt at learning and applying new technologies
• The team is distributed, which means that a very high degree of both autonomy and teamwork skills are required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

Location

This is a remote position where the candidate can be located in Europe, or East-Coast North America to allow proper cooperation with our current team.
