Position Overview: 

The Manager of Visual Communications will elevate how we tell our story visually. This role is for a strategic and hands-on visual storyteller who can take complex technical concepts—agentic AI, distributed systems, software architecture, and process flows—and bring them to life through clear, engaging, and modern visual formats.

This is a high-impact role that will collaborate closely with the executive team, marketing, sales, and engineering to ensure visual consistency and clarity across everything from high-level messaging to technical deep dives.

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the visual expression of our brand, translating abstract technical concepts into accessible, visually compelling formats across channels including the website, social media, physical events, and others.
  • Design and develop high-quality presentations, long-form documents, infographics, architecture diagrams, animated GIFs, explainer videos, and interactive visuals
  • Use GenAI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Runway, D-ID, etc.) to accelerate creative exploration and asset production.
  • Refine and maintain a visual system and asset library that supports consistency across the company.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to conceptualize and produce visuals that align with our product, sales, and developer experience strategies.
  • Support and collaborate with internal teams on visual storytelling best practices and training.
  • NOTE: This is NOT a product UX role. The focus is on the GTM that drives demand for our product.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in visual communications, motion graphics, or design in a B2B software company.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify and visualize complex technologies and systems.
  • Deep fluency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other tools.
  • Proficient with and curious to use the expanding landscape of modern GenAI tools used in design and animation.
  • Experience producing assets for the website, social media, executive decks, technical explainers, and product demos.
  • Strong understanding of branding, hierarchy, and storytelling in visual communication.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in English (near-native speaker), with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment, where agility and adaptability are key to success.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with the architect, developer, and IT leadership personas.
  • Experience working with developer-facing brands or technical products.
  • Awareness of social sensitivities to imagery
